I'm wondering what my 400m and 1500m times should be if I want to run a 1:52 800m. For example would 51 and 4:04 be sufficient or perhaps 49 and 4:10 could work?

I've seen a guy run 1:49 with a 4:44 mile PB and a 49 400 PB. I've also seen a guy with a 49 400 and a 3:59 1500 only run 1:54. The only requirement to run a 1:52 800, imo, is the ability to run two 56-second laps back to back.
Definitely not "and". You need one or the other though, 52 or 3:52. More likely 49 or 3:49 will go along with a 1:52.
JW went 1:52 off a 43.45 400m.
Get to 43 flat to be safe.
I can give you my own anecdotal evidence.
My 400m and 1500m PRs were 50.2 and 4:03 respectively, both in the same season. Could run 1:53 to 1:54 week in week out, did so countless times. Had the perfect race where I sat on someone who ran 1:51.5 and I managed to PR a 1:51.91 for myself however I never went under 1:53 again.
So I'd say it's possible off those times but I wouldn't count on doing it regularly. Those I've known to run under 1:52 consistently have usually come from 49s 400m ability.

I ran 1:52 and ran 51 for 400m and 3:53 for 1500m around the same time period. The 1500m was limping on an achilles injury, so probably not the best comparison.
For reference I was running 50-60 miles per week.

55-57 is optimal, but this point is very valid

It is possible with just a 51-52 400 m, but then you need superior endurance and stamina like a 3:45 - 3:50 1500 m.
I think it is much easier with 49 s 400, or faster. Then you don't need more endurance than maybe a 4:05 1500.
Now both your examples (51/4:04 or 49/4:10) won't give you a 1:52, but the combination of a 49 and sub 4 (1500) might do.
Using Ventolin's magic formula, required 1500m ability = (112 - [400m ability]) * 3.75
Alternatively required 400m ability = 112 - ([1500m ability]/3.75)
Acceptable combos:
46, 4:07
47, 4:04
48, 4:00
49, 3:56
50, 3:52
51, 3:49
52, 3:45
53, 3:41
54, 3:48
For me it was low 50 for 400m and about 4:00 for 1500m.
