so fully bald or fat to the point that you could not complete a 5K in under 30 mins but not so fat that you would look out of place in most places? Let's say 30-40 lbs overweight but with a really thick, full head of hair.

I'm bald and fat, thanks for making me feel like crap
Mr. Clean look for me, I'd much rather be in shape with no hair than vise versa.

For this hypothetical you defo mean perpetually fat? Because fat is a choice IRL and baldness is not.
Bald and fit. A thick head of hair will always look trash on a double chin with flappy jowls.
Bald for sure.
It is kind of weird how a thick full head of hair can look sort of bizarre on an older overweight person.
A few people look good bald. NOBODY looks good fat.
lol

I totally agree that a full head of thick hair can look strange/creepy on dudes that are getting older. Probably has more to do with the style, but not totally.

I never knew there were SOOOOOO many bald people on this forum. Sorry for your poor genetics, gents. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your shiny heads
I'm pretty sure I've got way more hair than you, bro.
Nose = 100% coverage.
Back = Like 90% coverage.
Ass = 100%
Chest = 60%
Legs = 100%

I'm not bald or fat. I do worry about what style will look "normal" though.

Having a full head of hair does not offset a lifetime of your personal failures. You know this, right?
I really don't know why baldness is such a bad thing, to the point where people wear uncomfortable wigs/take meds/undergo crazy surgery to overcome baldness. What's the big deal?

Dude, you have to go way more than 30 lbs overweight. I ran 19 min at 30lbs overweight. I even ran 16:45 at 30 lbs over race weight. Maybe if you're short it's different, but 30 lbs isn't that much.
An overweight person can lose weight. A bald person is presumably bald for life.
I'd rather be 30 lbs overweight. Then I'd just lose the extra pounds over the next three months and be back to my normal self. Meanwhile, those who took the baldness option would still be bald.
Bald.
Well you can reverse fatness but you cant really reverse baldness. But at a single point in time, it's better to be bald because weight is something that can be controlled, so being fat shows a lack of something. Althiugh not ideal, you cant blame someone for the baldness that they generally have no control over.
Remember that if fat, you have the chance to lose it with some work. Of course, if bald you could get a transplant but it could badly wrong!
So far, bald seems the preferred option.

I've literally never heard anyone say that they think a full head of think hair would look strange or creepy on anyone.

Lots of people 30-40 pounds overweight can easily run under 30 minutes for a 5k. You need to up it to 75 pounds overweight.
