Okay, so the lead women have immediately let the pacemakers go.
Australian Sinead Diver leading early, just like we all expected.

Bold prediction for Kosgei. Looking forward to seeing if you're correct!
great, we don't see the race this year because Eurosport is showing snooker :) They have the broadcasting rights but don't want us to see the race because it's more important for them to show some kind of a stick and ball game, which is more like a pub activity than serious sports.
At what point do the pacemakers just slow down back to the runners?

Bold as in too fast a finish time, but 1st place looks doable.

No, the stupid pacers went off as if it was cross country.

Yes, I figured a mom in her 40s would be well ahead at the 2 mile mark also.

Fml. Eurosport decides to show table-tennis!!!! from China.
At least the Hamburg Marathon is on national TV in Germany.
There was a guy on here ripping about how Flotrack has the rights to London for Europe, maybe there was something to it??

+1
Don't understand what happens organizationally that the pacers just take off on their own from the very start.
LOL, Kind of like my picks though I am more optimistic for the American Woman, (Maybe what I want to happen)
I have Kipchoge in 2:02 and Kosgei in 2:16.23 and high 2:15 is possible.

Not sure, but you can stream it fir free at Watch Athletics. Just google, “free live stream london marathon.”
It’s on BBC 1 and 2! It’s free from any pc or any smartphone. Why are you Americans can’t comprehend that?? You wanna pay for some American channel that charge for it with commercials every 5 minutes (like in Boston- that was unbearable!)
Would you post a link to a free BBC 1 and 2 stream then?
No splits or pace info on Olympic channel broadcast in US. Guess we wait for 5k?

Well, if they are going to spend an hour showing us random shmucks telling their life stories instead of the races, I think I'll turn to the snooker.
At least get out there and re-organize the pacers.
So that's 5:29 for mile 1 and 5:28 for mile 2. 5:23 for mile 3. 16:56 at 5k, which is 2:22:54 pace.
42-year-old Aussie Sinead Diver out front. The chase pack have just about caught her.
Not quite what we expected.
16:56 first 5k, women
Huddle and Sisson right there in the front with lead pack.
Sisson/Huddle running their race (2:22+ pace) through 5k. Which leads the pack
Also remember that the first 5k in London is very downhill. So 16:56 is even slower with that context.
