I want to congratulate the teen for having the guts to race the world's best. He's a 1500 star and yet he stepped up, gave it his all and finished 12th in an 8k. So let's give him some props for not staying in a hole somewhere and training in obscurity.
For a guy with as smooth as a stride as him, the course must have been the opposite of ideal for him.
Let's hope he keeps coming back. The pros who have never even tried the event are numerous.
Much respect.

Jakob and some other "smooth" guys (including some Africans) did have a tough time on the course. Everyone should take a look at the IAAF report on the race - and look at the pictures. There might have been two actual juniors who finished ahead of Jakob. Might. It's a joke. The IAAF needs to start doing what soccer did to stop the nations who were cheating age-wise in that sport (mainly Africans). Start using the MRI wrist test. C'mon Mr. Coe, let's clean things up all the way. Get rid of the drugs on top of that and maybe, just maybe, you can get Europeans interested in distance running. On a side note it has to mentioned that in doing this Coe would be up against some powerful forces. Forces who are determined to condition Westerners, and their efforts to give Africans a lot of chances to cheat to mirror their efforts in other sports and indeed in things that are far beyond athletics. The West is under attack on a lot of fronts. Laugh now because you won't be laughing later.
8k is a bit long for Jakob right now, even though he really is more of a 5k guy - eventually anyway. His raw speed isn't very good.
