What's your point? Sure it looks like the same guy, but bandit racing isn't illegal. BFD

Here is a link to the same website and a “playground” where you can practice and get it figured out!
https://www.bbcode.org/playground.phpIf LAM would have DQd him, or he would have owned up to it, this thread would have fizzled. Now everyone connected in any way will end up on here.

Your not very nice. Is your name Phillip by chance? FYI if this is one of the Pasadena 3....they may be bandits, though I would be surprised. It’s quite relevant to this thread. Trying going to page 19 or 20 and many pages thereafter. These 3 are FM ‘s son, daughter in law and friend Phillip. Frank exposed them to scrutiny by running with his son and his daughter in law. His bib caused those photos to see the light of day. FM cinched the daughter in law’s exposure by passing his bib to her as she completed the race , of which she has no result. See, FM had re-entered the course around 25 minutes after “completing” his race. Understand?
Exactly, it has been proven beyond any doubt that he cheated
I summarised the below earlier.
...and the LA Times article was an absolute waste of space and time, and puts more doubt in the average reader's mind , plus it creates the impression that it is a trivial issue that is being drummed up by immature forum posters.

Perhaps Lalo Diaz has a false sense of loyalty which is clouding his judgement?
Or perhaps he's just plain stupid?
This legendary coach seems to not understand distance running at the elite level.

Rod, this is how your reply should have looked before you hit 'Submit Post':

Thanks.
Frank Meza [s]ran[/s] [color=red][size=18]recorded[/size][/color] world record times.
Thanks for nothing.
thanks...
If all you say is true then that makes him not particularly smart as the smart thing to do would be to disassociate yourself from Meza, just as the Principal and LHS has done. Because lets face it, no one on the street, let alone an experienced coach, could in their wildest dreams think this fella is a world record holder:

Great race Frank. Wow!
If only someone had literally followed Frank Meza at LAM 2019. If I knew then what I know now, (that FM was cheating) .....

Frank stated he wanted to run with his athletes in the 2016 Oakland Marathon as his reason for not taking up LA Maratho’s “offer” on running with an observer despite a five week time difference. The two other Loyola alums on the 2016 Cal Bears roster were an 800m runner and a pole vaulter. That’s another reason any athlete who did this in season could get the boot from a coach. The Loyola distance alum declined to be interviewed. Frank is a horrible liar and throws people under the bus in the process. Lalo Diaz is too loyal or stubborn to see this.

Pretty sure Shayla wasn't going to let Brandt or any other distance guys run a marathon in March/April smack in the middle of track season.
This is a ridiculous lie from Frank. What NCAA athlete is going to be allowed to run a marathon???
"you look at Dr. Frank Meza, could this have happened? I don’t see it."
I have never seen a photo of Ed Whitlock or Gene Dykes with a lanyard attached to a chip doing this:

If so, that chip-on-a-string method must be something the rest of us don't know about. Someone let Kipchoge know he's missing out.

Or cuts off the bottom of his bib (which contains the timing chip) and has it on a cord around his wrist:
https://www.marathonfoto.com/Proofs?PIN=X94720&LastName=MEZAThe 2016 Oakland marathon is an interesting case.
Here's video from the start line:
http://www.ktvu.com/morning-news/110426161-video
#135 on the start line finished with a chip time almost the same as FM. But FM started 1:47 after the gun went off. The video shows what that means. The fast runners take off (at 2:41 in the linked video). The slow runners take off. People wearing banana costumes take off. Walkers get going. The street is literally empty - the sweeper bicycle is disappearing in the distance at 4:00. Why would the sweeper bike start if someone was still on the starting line? The video ends at 4:10, 7 seconds before FM crosses the start line. According to the results, FM ran the first 10K split in 39:47, going through nearly 700 joggers and walkers at a pace of 6:25/mile.
FM started nearly 2 minutes behind the leaders, and finishes 2:36 behind the women's overall winner. Yet FM passes the 19.7 mile mat 2:16 ahead of her, and here he is in a picture just behind her. The location is the Lake Merritt bandstand, around mile 23.7 on the marathon course.

Another race, another surplus of anomalies.
Interestingly, Doubler has investigated this race before:
