don't know where you are from but they have been on asics website for the last 2 years... this isn't anything new
No
Sara hall has been racing in those for the past 2 years. Do they compare well with original from Japan?

Yes.
If this is made with the last that was the 13+year production Tarther then it's a Very responsive flat. I had the Tarther it's ride was firm like the original Adios But wider and better fit than Adios.
How does this work as a marathon racing flat?
is it wider than adios , then it must be wider than ds trainer ?? hope so.
How do they compare to Klomenwinkel unsanded clogs?

If they're on Japanese Last like original Tarther than yes. Currently I'm in NB1400v6 (very good/wide enough)
Hopefully someone will chime in when they've run in
Can anyone actually compare these to the Gel Tarthers? Those were my favorite long distance racing shoe. I still have two pairs of those with one reserved for racing only. But have 300 miles in those. Over a thousand in the occasional use pair.
