I hate the northeast

That sounds somewhat true for the big cities in the northeast (I dont live there, but have been many times) but there are many parts farther outside NYC and Boston that are more friendly and that is simply the big city talking. I would bet if you went to upstate ny, RI, new hampshire, vermont, or maine you would like it a lot more than NYC and Mass

I live here, and I agree. I will not try to change your mind. I am from New Hampshire and now live outside of Boston. People here are awful.

Ive been to all of those. Even though they are admittedly nicer than the city they still don't beat anywhere south of the mason Dixon. Its cold as the arctic and its just not as hospitable.

Totally get where you're coming from. I was born and raised in New England though and I love it. I don't want my new neighbors coming around my house with baked goods, welcoming me to the area and getting all up in my business. I'd rather they just leave me alone. That stuff feels like "performative niceness" to me.

Came here to disagree with you based on the thread name, but when you'r right, you're right. This is a pretty fair depiction of life in the north east.

Pfft. I'll agree that Massholes are the worst, but you can't knock NYC, especially if you're from a sh!thole like Florida. We simply don't pander to idiot tourists. Don't walk three across on the sidewalk holding hands. Don't take 15 minutes to order food. Don't come and visit the most touristy areas that no NYer would be caught dead in and think that entitles you to an opinion. Stay home in your swampy hell, smoke some bath salts and eat someone's face off.

Not sure what you're looking for here. If you like the southeast more than you like the northeast, stay in the southeast. It's up to you, and you don't need me to validate your decision or try to change it.

You obviously missed the North east in July....it beats florida every day of that month. Well actually the weather in the north east is pretty decent from the end of april to the end of october, I am not sure you can say the same of the south, where you are literally baking for those months. We also have no poisonous snakes/spiders, and many more sidewalks and walkable small villages, than the south which is just commercial districts and high speed multi-lane roads. I travel to the south often, and just finding a decent place to run that isn't paved is near impossible. In the northeat you don't have to go far to find a nice park with trails to run on. As for being in a rush, well I don't mind that, the south is TOO DAMN SLOW. OMG hurry up and do something already. We are more type A get it done type people and I like it. We also walk fast, because during winter your face starts to freeze if you don't hurry up.

Anyway, I basically disagree with every point you make, and finally I don't think southerns are friendly, they are just fake. In the north we are just honest.

Not quite. His assessment was that the Northeast, including one of the greatest cities in the world, is a horrible place to live.
