PR sounds way better than PB. Sorry, the court rules against you.
Case Closed.

So, you're either not an American or you haven't run on an American track team.
It's standard to say PR.
PR is easier to say, it rolls of the tongue better.
PB sounds bad, like you're talking about a beer.
On the other hand, there is Bernard Lagat after his AR of 12:53.60, at 44-45s into the interview:
PB over PR, brought to you by the same pretentious as$es who brought you "kit." My high school coach taught me PR, my college coach used PR. PB is peanut butter in the USA, deal with it.
PB just reminds me of peanut butter
In the UK it's PB, in the US it's PR. It's like chips vs fries. There is no difference other than geography/culture.

I agree with this. Seems America says PR (including me, and I'm not slow), across the pond says PB.
Across the pond?
It's an ocean.
I’m from the UK and use PR

I'm sorry you live in the UK. Must suck.
I thought it was more regional than just usa vs europe. I thought it was more like west coast says PR and east coast says PB.
Im from oregon and in highschool track/xc i never heard anyone ever say PB from anyone in person. Not at our school or at meets, etc. As an adult, talking to other hobby joggers at group runs or races, it seems much more split

United Kingdom is amazing. Spent three years in England station there in the US Air Force. The running community in England is awesome there!
....and Puerto Rican’s do.
I've only ever heard people say PR. However, I live on the west coast if that matters at all. Personally I think PR sounds better since, to me, PB means peanut butter.
I remember an old commercial that speculated PB means "Pig Basketball"
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
