Workout was 5x1k at 3:20 in Dec 2016, roughly her 5k pace or slightly slower at the moment, with 2 minutes rest. Even her last rep looked very controlled, and she beat the times by 2-3 sec each.
The coach did one thing well, which was holding her back - even in this workout, he told her "we do not, NOT run faster at the end of it!", indicating that Tuohy has a tendency to kill herself on the last rep and needs to be held back if the workout is not designed to be a "go to the well" workout.
I'm sure that will change; if there's one pattern I've ever noticed is nearly all distance elites and semi-pros get faster as they progress their workout (i.e. 60,59,59,58,58,57,57,55) Unlike how many HS'ers hammer the first few and try to hang on to that goal time.
