I saw the movie Jaws once. Man, I've been freaked out ever since.

If Bak was so recovered, then why didn't be beat Webb? Just a thought...

wow this is a hater thread if i ever saw one. i think it's pretty clear in all of the pictures that webb didn't have much of a chance to move up in much of the race unless he was out in lane 3. either that or it does actually appear that he was boxed in...but hey that's racing. i really don't care but damn--enough of the webb hater threads...it's his first year being pro. he looked pretty good to me.

To me it looked that Webb just wasn't ready to run. Heading into the last 600 he was directly behind Lunn and could have just followed him to the front, instead he drifted back and then had to move to the outside to make a move. By then he was too far off the front to pose any threat to the top three.

As much as I despise webb, I cant dog on him for being the youngest guy there. I still wish I could run as fast as he could as young as he is. We Webb haters have a serious problem with expecting too much too soon.

Personally, I think that Webb worked harder for his $250G than Joe Millionaire did for his $500G, and there is no way that doof is the dating equivalent of a sub-4:00 miler.

I suspect that Alan just isn't at his peak yet. Remember that he says that he's aiming for the summer, not early spring.

It's also tough to train by yourself and jump into a crowded indoor race. The jostling can really psych you out. Being able to handle it is a skill that needs to stay sharp, and with Alan training alone, he's probably weak there.

Webb needs to practice that egg thing a little more. Maybe he could sign up for a speech class.

Just wondering what all the Webb bashers would have done if Nike offered them $250,000.

How hard is it to deposit the check, show up at a few meets, finish near the back of the pack and then come up with some lame excuse about the other runners not playing fair by boxing you in.
