She was incredible during her high school days in Colorado (think she won state as a senior?) then went on to run for UW. Good to see her coming into her own again!

Eleanor was a very strong HS runner who swept the 800, 1600, and 3200 in Colorado as a senior in 2011ish. She was too 5 at NXN a couple of times, but FL was the stronger race back then. She performed well as a collegiate competitor for the UW Huskies, netting a few All-American finishes in the DMR and *maybe* the mile indoors.
She signed with a shoe company (Skechers maybe?) right out of college but was dropped last Spring. This must’ve lit a fire under her as she crushed a Turkey Trot running very low 16s to finish second in a stacked field. Now, this. Good for her.
Is Rowbury clean now, or just not training hard?

She gave birth recently and started running again only four months ago.

Yes Fulton's performance was impressive but I was also impressed with Robury. Age 34 and 4 months after giving birth I didn't expect her first race back would be that fast.
I had pretty much written Shannon off for making another US team but it looks like she can still be a factor.

She's coached (or was coached last year at least) by Jonathan Marcus of High Performance West

That is one cute baby.
Eleanor makes the meet every year for USA Outdoors but seems to spend a lot of her track season rabbiting races at the behest of Jonathan Marcus, her coach. She has been at this for several years nows.
When you catch hold of yourself, you will realize that 9:02 is pretty soft for a post-collegiate runner and that the "#2 time in the world" on January 12th means nothing.

And Shannon looks downright euphoric with maternal lovin'.
Her 3K doesn't quite match Gwen J's BFWR(breast-feeding WR) for 5000m but it's a great start.
That's a cute baby. Rowbury is doing great to run 9:02 now. She was running in the mid to high 16s not too long ago. She may well be running in the 8:40s by Spring, which would be well on her way back.

giving birth is performance enhancing, she just needs a little more time

Very cute.
Too bad about that weird thing people do to stamp a gender on a newborn kid's forehead, with a bow or whatever that headband thing is.

It's OK, she can always switch genders as part of a teen rebellion phase, and then maybe back again after that.
Fulton actually crushed Rowbury at the Silicon Valley TT, 16:03ish to 16:44ish, when Rowbury was a few months postpartum. Rowbury’s already made some massive fitness gains since then. I had forgotten about her, but she is the AR holder in the 1500m and was for the 5000m till Shelby H showed up. It will be interesting to see what she can do this year.

Too bad about that mentally ill sexual deviancy thing people do to change gender at any age.
I watched the last lap, which was free, on FloTrack. For some reason it was hard to hear the announcer keep say Rowberry. I would think Rowbury would be pronounced like a bur on a plant, not like the small fruit. Probably wrong because when you bury someone, it sounds like the fruit.
I can't get over the fact that someone spelled "discuss" properly on LR....
