Someone who isn't working with Matt Boling.
That makes me very happy for Steve if that is correct. Long may you coach! Cheers!

Their men’s and women’s sprint coaches and and all their men and woman sprinters.
Miami has their guy. Just negotiating salary/bonus structure and title. A bit of a surprise hire but he's had success in a similar urban environment and built a program in a place with no prior success in distance running these past few years. The U will never be Syracuse...but they won't be a dumpster fire in the distances any more either.

Im thinking given the details my guess would be Michael Rutt (Umass Lowell and 800 meter ex pro)
Hahahaha. Nice try. First of all, there has not even been any offers and barely any interviews. Nobody has been to campus yet. Secondly, the previous poster said "built a distance program." UMass Lowell has done what exactly?

Rutt is essentially a stopwatch holder at UMass Lowell. Gary Gardner does everything up there. The biggest reason they hired Rutt is to use his name in recruiting. Based on their results, I'm not sure it is working.

This has Patrick Henner written all over it.
Miami is moving fast on this! Kudos to that staff for being able to get it done without having to wait weeks.
Henner seems to be on a quest to coach the most neglected distance program in the country (USC and now Miami).
Was he blamed for Georgetown mess? They were very good under his direction.

I don't blame Henner one bit for wanting to leave USC. The program is completely sprint oriented. And Henner doesn't make very much money at USC. It's not easy trying to make a living on $40-45K in Southern California. The Miami job will be an upgrade for Henner.

Miami is sprint oriented. Miami is also an expensive place to live. Also it is much more humid than LA. Seems like a lateral move to me.
Have you ever seen Miami in cross country? It's a joke. Always dead last in the ACC
What's the story on the Stanford job opening?
Maybe Miamis new coach is Sorensen? Would make sense if it is truly a Pac-12 coach heading there.

Amy Deem hasn’t even been in Miami. There’s no offer out there. This is all just typical LRC rumor.
