So what? It can work out. But wait until the athlete is no longer in a vulnerable position before beginning anything. I'd like to see statistics for the total number of coach/athlete relationships and of those, the number that ended in a positive manner. Better yet, gather statistics on ex-athlete perception of the relationship and how many would do it over again if given the chance.
Please stop with the anecdotal evidence. It's meaningless.
