CU long ago.
80 minutes or so Sundays, up to two hours here and there. Weird how the "long day" was less miles than every other day but Saturday, actually. The 80m was 11-12 miles. A weekday would be a 4-5 mile a.m. with 7-10 in the p.m. if road something. Even a Sunday of two hours (Mesa Trail to Eldorado and back, plus) wouldn't be as much work as a 5 mile morning and a 4th Street thing in the afternoon. Depending.
The girls did 80 miles a week?
Those are girls in the videos above?
thanks to all responses. want to run D1 and improve so don't want my long runs to long yet.

25-30 miles for a top ten team.
The long run is the most important part of a successful program. Total mileage is usually about 50 miles, so long run is 50-60% of the total mileage.
Are you retarded?

Teams that run over 100 mpw average around 20 miles for the long run. Some are top teams, some are not.
I doubt many if any women's teams are hitting 100 mpw and doing 20M long runs.
25 mile minimum for a long run?
For 50 miles weekly, I'd put the long run at 8 miles. Average 7 miles the other days.
