Chances are you haven't even figured out your true event. As a high schooler I was a 9:19 3200m runner. I figured I was going to be a great 5000m runner in college ironically I learned I was an 800m runner and wound up running 1:48 even though I only ran 2:02 in high school. I did run 14:17 for 5000m and 29Low for 10,000m but my high school pb's helped me get in the door as a walk on it was by accident that I earned a full ride when I ran the 800m for speed and almost went sub 1:50 on my first attempt. Don't focus on scholarship entirely because your chances of failure are higher.
