Paul chelimo, NickWillis, Edward Cheserekand and many more will be racing.
Race Director Jim Harvey said, “This is possibly the best field ever in the Manchester Road Race, and probably the best field in the US this year outside of the major marathons, Boston, New York and Chicago. We’ve got two great fields, I’m looking forward to an exciting race; and we’re looking to kick on from here, and improve all aspects, year on year”.

King Ches vs Chelimo. Can't wait.
I'm giving the edge to Ches as he's getting going whereas Chelimo had a long track season.
I posted this in another thread. How in the heck did Alan Webb beat Rupp in a Turkey Trot when they were both in the NOP?Anyone remember what year it was? -

I believe that was 2010. -

Didn't see the race - but a reasonable guess is that they didn't run very hard the whole race, and then Webb would have easily out kicked Rupp in the final 200 m -
I often confuse Ches and Andy Butchart too.
-
OMG, announcers just mistook Che’s for Andy Butchart. One small problem, folks...

I understand what you mean Rojo in terms of how they were running at that time but Alan arguably was more talented at 5000m than Galen. -
Well dang, Ches. That was freaking quick.
-
Celphine Chespol is running this thing? That's random but nice job.
-
Great day for people named "Ches."
-
Holy crap, Chez is such a talent.
He beat everyone by 1 min over 8km
Course record.
Dude came down from the mountains and crushed. -
Any drug testing here?
-
Will Chelimo try to prevent Ches from getting citizenship? Ches looks like he can be a King at top levels if he can stay healthy.
-
King Ches runs away from the field at about the half-way mark. He picked up an extra $1K by being in the lead at the top of the hill (halfway), and he never looked back. Coming into final straight, the race for second place was way back. Ches set the course record in 21:16 (I think that was his time).

Possibly the worst camera work ever on the women’s race. About 99% chance that was filmed with an iPhone 3 strapped to the back of a scooter with no shocks.
The commentators don’t know anything either.
You wonder why there’s so few fans of the sport who watch events like this. -
That was nuts. King Ches absolutely destroyed that field.
-
Chespol ran the whole thing with a JACKET UNDER her singlet. Damn training run.

Well Rojo nailed this one. Chelimo did win the US 5k champs earlier this month in New York, but today was no contest. Chelimo made a push just before two miles to win the "King of the Hill" bonus ($1,000 to whoever is in first at the top of the hill at two miles) and it looked like Chelimo edged Cheserek for that bonus. But as soon as they were past it, Chelimo backed off while Cheserek attacked on the downhill and opened up a major gap.
He wound up breaking the course record of 21:19 (which dated back to 1995, though Aaron Braun ran 21:19.4 in 2012) by running around 21:15 or 21:16. And he did it all in 15-degree temps. Super impressive, though we're still a loooong way from the 2019 track season and the races that truly matter. -

needs the jacket to carry the epo vials... -
Also LetsRun.com got a shoutout on the race broadcast. They mentioned that someone posted King Cheserek FTW on the messageboard, so if that was you, congratulations.
