The collection of the snobbiest boys under 120 lbs. in the tri-state area known as CBA is a program that puts success over everything else. They take the massive amounts of boys on the team and put them through the ringer running in many cases well over 100 miles per week. The small percent that survive form the varsity top 7 and they will most likely burn out by the time next xc season rolls around. College coaches will see the handful of fast times these boys throw down and drool but the colts have no record of even moderate success in the NCAA. The massive training volume during a developmental stage of life proves to be too much and they do not see much if any improvement on the collegiate level

Neither CBA or Loudoun Valley will win.

Whether CBA (a top team) shines, or LV, or other teams, isn't the issue here. It's your peabrain and the sadness that we feel in realizing that mercy killing wasn't practiced within the Shutitnow family.

So, Sam Affolder wouldn't even make CBA's JV team? CBA must have one incredible JV team. So good that not one kid has run better than Sam's 14:59.60 5k time during an XC race. Hat's off to these superboys. In fact, only Tim McInerney, an excellent runner, has a faster time than Sam this year, by .60 secs.

Let's look at CBA boys' XC times this season and compare them to LV's times this season. In each case, these are from the state top-500 rankings in New Jersey (for CBA) and Virginia (for LV). YOU decide if Sam would stand a chance at making CBA's JV team!!!! To quote from Kramer on Seinfeld: "Oh, mama!"

CBA had a 5-man average of 4:15 at the Monmouth County Invitational. 3 are returning next year. 2 of those 3 are transfers

CBA is ranked 1st for the fastest top 5 nonsenior 3200 times in the nation for this season.

Milesplit lists them as second to Woodlands, but it accidentally has a guy from Woodlands Christian listed in the Woodlands top 5.
