Sellers for the win, among all nurse anesthetists in the field.
Allie K. gets 11th place overall. Yes, I'm serious.
Kam-Man wins in 2:05:32
That's all I've got.
Why doesn't your "full coverage" include information as to how to watch the event?
Apparently, Chris Derrick in an effort boost his career and to throw off his fellow 'thoners will be wearing temporary tattoos for the race. The provocative nature of the tattoos will include many sayings LRC fans will recognize, including :
Expecting Great Things, NYC is Jerry Certified, I train with Shalane, I know Colleen Quigley- she's fast and fine,
Oregon home of Nike and fast and smelly people, I ran for Stanford so that makes me smarter than the average hobby jogger, and It's my second 'thon, still learning.

The organizers of the NYC 'thon will start this year a new unofficial category where the woman looking best in her bun huggers will receive an under the table payout after the race. Because of the #meetoo movement there will almost zero official acknowledgement and the if pressed they will point to the check which will say "Inspirational Award for Visual Fluidity of Marathon Running".

Does anyone know where a stream will be shown in Europe?

Because I have no television, no internet, just a slow cellphone I will once again be relying on this thread to give insightful, accurate, and non partisan NYC 'thon coverage.
Beforehand, please limit comments on the awful announcers and poor coverage. This is to be expected.
I only ask for split info and the occasional mention of human interest stories. Running related, of course.
Brojos, if you could get your crack 'thon statistics out and tell me what is the fastest debut time for a masters runner such as Bernard Lagat.
Pre-'thon thanks for your efforts.

Bummer that after reading all these great previews of U.S. runners, that we'll only see a small handful of them on the telecast, and only for a few minutes at that. Live coverage of Sellers, Kieffer, Ward, Biwott, The Scotts, Derrick et.al. will be scarce at best. Am almost hoping for a dawdling pace so we can see some familiar faces in the lead pack for awhile, but not likely given these perfect weather conditions.
Full live coverage on British Eurosport 2. Probably available on Eurosport Player too for a small fee.
Is it just over three hrs til the start?
Question about the course - I see that there's actually three different courses that converge at around the 5K mark.
How does that work for age group awards, etc? Seems a bit unfair that people could be competing against each other when they're not running the same course. I know the elites all get routed the same way - are all the competitive runners also routed that way?

If it's anything like London then one is for runners and the other two for hobby joggers and walkers. Anyone capable of winning an age group award would be in the same wave.
If anyone knows of any Facebook livestreams, please post the link...
It's on ESPN2. Comcast. 9:00 am.
Will an American man or woman make in onto the podium in this year's NYC 'thon?
Shalane and Desi would seem to have more of chance than the American men.
Run the race to see please.

The weather looks fantastic. A no excuses day.

Thank you Shalane. Good grief.
