Her splits are steady enough that you can pretty much figure out which course she's on just by looking at them.

Crazy how fking consistent. Other guys barely stand a chance, with her pumping out laps so well.
Three still standing after 60 laps (250 miles).
The longest distance recorded by a competitor in a Backyard ultra event is 59 laps by Guillaume Calmettes at Big Dog Backyard Ultra in 2017.

They should just have a sprint to the finish line after 60 laps. No need for unnecessary suffering.
Courtney just dropped her fastest lap of the race. Wtf

She's sensing weakness? Excited to be back on the road for the night? Sending a message?

A few years ago two runners made it out to 204 miles. They both had to catch flights so they agreed to quit at the same time. According to Laz, the race that year had no winner. Every single runner DNFd.
Laz:
“seriously;
what is the limit of human potential.
courtney ran her fastest lap of the race in the 61st hour.
possibly making a statement to the men.
we have been discussing where it goes from here.
how long this thing might last.
how it might end.
nobody is giving an inch.
no matter what.
if any of them could be broken,
they would have broken long ago.
the pain load is something off the charts.
the runners cannot show it.
it would only feed the opponent.
but the pain load is off the charts.
the truest words i have heard was one runner to another;
"this can end any time you want."
blunt and to the point.
the only way out is to quit.
and since no one is going to quit.
the real question is;
how far can a human run?”
They've been having live feed on Ginger Runner Live
I got back from work and my run recently and had forgotten to update this...thinking I must've surely missed the end by now. But to my amazement...3 runners still going strong. no words
this is amazing
I already knew courtney was capable of a lot...but this is another level. she has as good of a chance to finish Barkley as anybody in recent years, as long as luck is on her side.
also, I think that Johan and Courtney running faster laps in the night (~45min) is just to get some extra sleep. A few minutes extra has got to help, at least mentally.
even Gavin Woody is being extremely consistent around 50-53min, so he is showing no real signs of impending failure.
SO how far do we think they will make it? I think all will make it at least another 4-5 hours, which puts them at 280 miles. and at that point, 300 miles has got to sound appealing. I think somebody will stop right after 300 miles. It definitely takes 300+ to win

Fully agree! I keep checking back and will not allow myself to moan about the fact that I am still working a slightly tired. These 3 are inspiring.
I going to bed with 3 of them at 63 laps.
When I wake up, I expect at least two of them to be at at 70 laps and closing in at 292 miles.
This is utterly insane. Is there really streaming somewhere? I may go home and watch after work if so... Ease post link if Ginger runner live has it going

She might do well at barkley - would be a strong favorite to at least do a fun run.
You might even say finish eventually - but I'd still bet against it her first time out.
Barkley is a *completely* different game.

Scroll to just past 5 min for start of video replay:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-6coUTg_d9cAll three now over 270mi. Gavin Woody's last lap left him with just over 4 minutes to spare. Courtney and Johan both with ~15 minute cushion. Rest and repeat.
Now just Courtney and Johan... 275 miles in. Both sub 50 min laps.
And now down to 2.
Just to let you guys know that this race has been taking place for more than a couple of years (I think it goes back to 2015 at least) and there are identical events in Ireland and the UK - the RD of those events was running at bigs but dropped on the first day iirc.
