Nope. 12 hour race.

And for what it is worth, a 3:37 50k (6:59 pace) and a 6:52 50 miler (8:14 pace).

most likely a typo on the website.

Douche bag looks like Dumbo.
Interesting. It was his first 12 hour race in 2003.
And it is the best performance to this day.

With the record of Dane Rauschenberg, I would not be surprised if he cheated there.
It's not an impossible result for him, but I am a little suspicious.
84 miles in 12 hours is stunning.
A guy could then walk the next 16 miles and finish 100 miles in under 17:30, a very respectable
pace.
looks can be deceiving.

Love how the trolls here work. Camille Herron, a woman, runs 163 miles in 24 hours and is blasted for being a hobby jogger in a fringe event while this man runs only 84 miles in 12 hours and it is "stunning."
0/10. Not even a slightly decent troll attempt.
Please don’t compare Dane and Camille. Camille would beat Dane by at least 20 minutes in the marathon. Camille is elite! Dane just has a blog.
in his defense, Rauschenberg does have a Guinness World Record* and that would seem to cement his elite status in the opinion of most people.
*fastest marathon run completely on a cruise ship sailing the high seas.
Ran on a treadmill for 6 seconds. Traveled over 26.2 miles. Fastest marathon ANYWHERE. In trainers.
That may be but Rauschenberg has completed over 160 marathons in addition to many 1/2 marathons.
Our boy Dane is ripping it up on Twitter. Still funny and insightful.
Check him out @AtillaRoars
PS - Can anyone explain how this guy is still making any money off his books and coaching?

Dane pretends to be paid/sponsored/successful in the running world, while really just bleeding his own money for the image in public. Scraping by with a declining middle-class salary, dumping his excess into the illusion that he and his ideas matter - paying to self-publish, paying to show up at an expo, paying for website hosting and adverts...
He's like any instagram wannabee influencer: buying likes, buying fake friends; paying for sponsored posts to target your feed, showing up places to seem like he has the means. Dude is a joke - 98 followers?????

Rauschenberg never made money from his running.
Anyone want in on his new Kickstarter? Looks really awesome. Guessing he will hit $20k on this easily.

Hahahahhahaha. His Kickstarter...
Challenges and Risks:
"I have already written four other books and know the ins and outs of writing, editing, and publishing. Once funded, it will simply be a small matter of time before the book is completed and off to the publisher so we can get this book of inspiration into your hands."
Off to the publisher? You mean Dane hopping in his RV and going down to the local Kinkos to make copies?
7 copies. 6 for his backers and one for himself.
