Kennedy or Holman.
Allah... I mean, Yahweh... I mean, J.C... I mean, Haile Gebreselassie.

David Bedford!!
There are lots of excellent people in our sport. After reading Sandrock's "Running with the Legends," I'm inclined to say Juma Ikangaa, although I've never met him and wasn't really a big fan when he was competing.
P-R-E and in a closee close close second Mary Slaney. Two fearless athletes who weren't afraid of anyone, and went out every time and challenged people to run with them.
Carlos Lopes from Portugal and Sebastian Coe
Easy- Pick any Stanford female from 1982.
So many great runners!
I'd say maybe Ed Eyestone for being a great runner, super intellegent and one of the nicest runners I've met. Utta Pipping just for being beautiful. Joan Benoit for kicking ass at the LA Olympics. How about Ann Treason for being absolutly the toughest runner ever!
surely Paula must get a few votes...? I know whe looks kinda funny when she runs, but she's one tough runner.
Besides the popular vote of Pre, I have a lot of respect for Billy Mills and George Young
Emil Zatopek. A great athlete who revolutionized the sport with his interval training. He was also willing to deal with any pain, just look at the pictures of him running
Haile Gebrselassie all the way. BEAST!
Marcus Ryffel
Wow, there are so many who inspire, but i guess I would begin with Bill Rodgers and Joe Falcon.
