Male 39, 6'4 160lbs
One last race. Extremely hot weather.
Monday: 20 miles of cycling (heavy bike packed with camping gear).
Tuesday: 30 miles cycling to/from work.
Tuesday evening: track session: 600m all out, 10x 100m all out.
Wednesday: light swimming, mainly to escape the heat.
Friday morning: light swimming.
Friday afternoon: 800m race: 2:08. Disappointing, since I feel I'm in PR shape.
Legs didn't feel fresh, not enough tension/adrenaline. Could have been the heat (95deg F) or the 100s of the track session.
Anyway, time for a month off, just some very light strength/flexibility exercises.
Back to base building in September.
