We are in the middle of our school year. We start January 30 then end December 20 with 2-week breaks in between. It's Winter here. We just call it the holidays. So are you saying in the US you start and end the school year in the middle of the year?
It must be a bit weird to start a year in the middle of a year! lol. Also how long are your holidays or ''summer break'' and how many do you have? We have one for each season. Do you start these threads on Monday or Sunday?(I don't know as I live in a different time zone)
Wow thats so much different from us, but it makes sense I guess since December-January would be your warmest time of year, correct? School years here vary slight by state/school district but generally they go from mid-August to early June. We get major holidays off such as Thanksgiving, Christmas (which is normally called winter break because it covers all the major religions' holidays in like a week and a half + New year's) and then a week for spring break, with Easter Sunday being the last day off. Summer break is usually 2 months? (roughly mid-June to mid-August)
Also, "hobby jogger" is just Letsrun slang. It's basically an "insult/term" that people on the site use to describe runners who are not good, don't run to be competitive, or just generally aren't as good as the person using the term. most of the time it is used in a jokingkind of way just to mess with people. Kid from PA and I know each other in real life so he was just messing with me. I could never jog a sub 2 800. my PR for 800 is only 2:07 (not an all out effort tho). I get better as the distance increase, 4:29 for 1600 and 9:29 for the 3200 (roughly 8:49-8:50 3k).
