That’s a 4 minute PR, course record by 2 minutes. What place for US all time? The pack ran a 6:00 mile mid race and she took off. Fantastic race.
LRC note: Taylor won by nearly six minutes. From looking at the splits, she ran pretty darn even, hitting 10k in 33:59, the half in 72:30, 20 miles in 1:50:09 and mile 25 in 2:17:39 (meaning sh ran her final 1.2 at 5:42 pace - her overall average was 5:31 per mile.
She is now the 7th fastest US woman ever in any marathon (Grandma's is point to point and not record-eligible).
