Women's 3000 SC record not entirely safe. Might be a long shot but Allie's 9:40 looked so easy for her. I think the record is another year away but who knows.
9:24 is pretty far from Ostander's best of 9:38 this year. Could happen, but she will not have anyone to push her to that time and may not be interested in fast times with the 5k double.
true, I agree is probably isn't happening, but it's in the realm of possibility, probably about as likely as Schweizer running a 15:06. Her 9:38 was a season opener in which she said she'd run like 5 times since indoors with no workouts and the 9:40 looked effortless.
I also don't think she will save much for the 5k. She knows she's a bit of a long shot in the 5k, and the steeple not the easiest event to just sit and kick.
last year she had the steeple wrapped up and still went for it on the home stretch, so I think we'll see a close to max effort.
I don't think 9:24 is happening, but might take a shot at Simpson's junior year time of 9:29.
