What is up with Moroccan 1500m running these days?

Their last good miler got bought by Qatar and pumped full of drugs.

It's way too early in the season. There are still lots of Moroccans including the ones running for Spain, Qatar, Bahrain, Turkey, etc...

What happened to Moroccan middle-distance talent?

I have contact with a couple of Moroccans at Facebook and they tell me the government don`t pump in money as they used to do in special national running programs as they used to do back in the time of Aouita ,Skah,Guerrouj and so on. It`s basically a problem of lack of money for the Morocco Athletic Federation. Could have been nice to take over as Headcoach for a new wave of top international running with my DANCAN-system ......the talents are there but they need the very best training program and money support. - The Magic Wizard -

true, I don't know why this website gives East Africa such a hard time when if you look at the history of busted dopers, it's dominated by Moroccans as well as Moroccan Europeans and even Americans (Trafeh)

This. Moroccan's don't run for Morocco. Morocco isn't known to help out it's athletes that much at all and there are more opportunities in Europe/Middle East.
