I switched to Clif shots (vanilla and razz). Not as much sodium or as many calories as Powergels, but still tasty.
I've never liked Gu's. They're thick and hard to squeeze out of the package and don't have as many calories.

The price has gone up crazy. They are offering 24 packs for $150,000. They seem to be for sale in Europe. Why not the USA?
I recently started trying VFuel.... they seem to be decent? At least, no issues so far - and the consistency is close to what the PowerGel used to be.

I have 10 PowerGels left(pushing that expiration date, heh) to use in my next race. ...
PowerGels are back in the US! And so are the chews - now called PowerBar Shots.
We just re-launched a couple of weeks ago - we are a few ex-employee/athletes who wanted to get these products back for our friends and ourselves.
You can get them at sport.powerbar.com. There are also some great new products to try.
Here's an intro, limited time use code that you can use at checkout for 30% off and free shipping with minimum $50 order.

Happy to see the Power Bar gels back, but I am a little surprised and disappointed to discover that they removed the 25mg of caffeine from the strawberry banana flavor which has been my go to gel for over a decade...
Just purchased the Strawberry / Banana and Green Apple. Surprised also about the Apple flavor only has the caffeine. Used the original gels due to the extra sodium they had and how thin the consistence was. Hope they bring back the bars in more flavors.

I have been using VFuel for the last 3 years and love it.
Moved to honey stinger strawberry kiwi - about the same taste and viscosity + the caffeine.
Hard to get all the time - usually some variety packs with 3 flavours (without caffeine) that I don't want.
