Rupp just destroyed a 2:04 low runner, faster than Kipchoge, running near 2:06 flat on a warm day, on a poorly paced, hilly race with numerous turns. This is worth a time that's less than 2:03 in Berlin easily!!
Forget about Farah. This is sooooo much better. This is the most amazing marathon I have ever seen.!! Rupp did this all by himself!
Rupp ran an excellent race
We have to remember, however, that if Rupp had ran in 25c+ weather and gone out at sub 2 pace, he wouldn't have lasted 5k. Farah's performance was exceptional considering it destroyed consistent runners like Cherono, i'd say he could run 2:04 or better. Don't get me started on Kipchoge.

Please remember, London was run in 64 to 71 degrees for the men. Please translate that to celsius and let me know what you come up with. Right. It was not much warmer than this race. Rupp would have easily handled that London opening. C'mon, it's a friggin downhill the first few miles there.

I think the course in Dubai is short. Many of the fast times are never reproduced by these runners!!!!!!

You'd think he'd race Kipchoge and the other studs, if that was the case. Rupp is very good, but no sane person would put him above Kipchoge at this point.
Kipchoge is just in another league. Whether Rupp or Farah is a better marathoner, it’s tough to say, because Farah has still very few races under his belt. However, I would lean towards Rupp if you ask me

It was pretty awesome to watch. While Kipchoge has some great, fast wins, during what race did someone try to break him early like Lemma tried to do to Rupp? and then easily cover that move? Also, in what races did Kipchoge break away from top class competition to finish in such a blazing last 5k? I believe he always just ran pretty evenly run races being accompanied by a ton of pacers no? That's why this was more exciting to watch.
