I was going to go with 2:05:25, but two others have already claimed that so I will go out on a limb and say 2:05:12. If wind becomes a significant factor, 2:06:20.

So many Rupp haters out there, I'll never understand it. Damn good runner, Prague will be a defining test for him.

Given the temps, the course times run historically, Rupp's previous times, the pacing and the competition, I'll say:

True, he only ran 20 miles at Boston, but they were pretty much all-out. He didn't drop out when he was feeling good (I hope), he dropped out feeling like crap. The speed was slow but the conditions were horrendous. There's no way he's recovered.

As somebody who understands the sport better than all of you, I communicate the truth. Galen turns 32 on Tuesday, and so he is now past his prime. Galen will NEVER break 2:07. That ship has sailed. Galen is also NOT a marathoner. This is something Alberto lacks the requisite cognition to comprehend. Galen will run 2:07:49 in Prague. This will be the fastest marathon Galen ever runs in his life. Enjoy.

I hope he runs faster than Hall's 2:04.58 tired of explaining to people why the American record is 2:05.38, when an American ran 2:04.58 on the most historically prestigious course in the USA which is Boston. I say 2:04.40

The best case would be low 2:09 but not likely.

I would be surprised if it is below 2:06:30. Non-ideal run-up to the race means there will be uncertainty how much impact Boston had and bickering on his ability will continue until end of the year when he runs another one.
