I'm 17, 5'8'', and 165ish lbs. Just trying to get back into shape and lose some weight. I have ran a 6:30 before about 2 years ago.
Earlier this semester in PE, my first time being active in a while, I ran a 7:31 and almost passed out. A couple weeks later of just putting effort into our PE runs, I ran a 7:02 last week. I was considering doing Couch to 5k to improve my mile time but after a diagnosis run, I decided it was not necessary. I finished my 5k in about 31 minutes without too much effort. (I could've gone to 7k maybe if I wanted to).
And so to keep myself motivated, I bet my friend $25 I could run 6:30 the next time we ran the mile. Just wondering if there are any good training programs you guys know of and/or your own training routines/advice.
