Sunny and humid he destroyed the field this morning to retain his title.
Kevin 'Questionable' Castille in 29:14.
Little 10 year old girl seen doing about 100 or so 30m sprints in and out of the crowd in the first wave came through in about 41:20 and collapsed. Hope she's okay and somebody helps her with pacing. She went through 2 in about 12:20 or so.

The classic is not what it once was. That race had a deep field. It's not the same race,or course. The directors have killed the race. Also on another topic, Kevin cheating Castille, is no one to be proud of. Look into this guy's life. Why did he get fired from that school, Hmmmmmm. -

LOL there's nothing questionable about KC. I question the insecurities of jealous people like you, though.
Also, crowing about mis-pacing by an excited 10 year-old is pathetic. Nobody needs to "help" her with pacing; she will learn by doing like all of us. -

10 year olds running fast. Let's check back in 10 years, because she probably won't be running at all. That's the sad truth. It almost always works that way. -
Any more race results?

If the tyke would've paced herself likely she wouldn't have ended up a serious condition being attended to by EMS.

still aided course or it has change ?
Looks like the field was made of some american based kenyans and two past their prime & former track stud with Soi and Koech. -
Flat pt to pt, not as fast as the original course which finished in Audubon Park but still fast.
Cross wind during mile 1, headwind miles 2 and 5. -

Nenow’s 27:22 was run on a course retired after 1999. It was point to point with damn near 100% separation. Finished in Audubon Park.
The event record is Sammy Kipketer’s 27:11, run on a course that hasn’t been used in a number of years, either - I believe barely within 50% separation.
The course after that was retired a few years ago and Isiah Koech ran 27:32 on it in 2013 I believe. I think barely within 50% separation there too.
The present course record was Jake’s own 27:55 from 2017; course is within 41% separation. I believe today’s run was far superior to Nenow’s because Jake himself made this race - wire to wire. From all accounts of Nenow’s epic run, Nick Rose and co played a huge role in the mass result. That’s saying nothing of the obvious differences in courses.
It was awesome. -
Good insight and informative.
Thank you. -
No one from New Orleans would say it was humid this morning. Fairly cool (low 60s), good conditions. Wind not much of a factor, probably a little bit of help. Not perfect conditions, but better than average for the race IMO.
The 10-year-old girl actually ran even faster last year (41:15).
Also, an 11-year-old boy is listed as running 34:40. -

Weather was as nice as it’s been since 1999-2000. The first mile wasn’t as windy as it usually is. -

That's pretty good for a 10 year old. She lined up right behind the elite field and I and others nearly trampled her after her wild sprint from the start. Not here to criticize her, but I'm glad she didn't get hurt.
Also, I don't believe there's anything dirty about KC. I've got mad respect for the guy.
Robertson is on fire. Essentially a solo 27:28 is ridiculous.
Calling it a headwind from 2-5 is a joke. A 5 mph wind was blowing out of the east. Look at the direction the course goes during those miles...
Finally, Donn Cabral sighting. 30:29. -
Help me find the results. I don't see a "here" link anywhere on the ccc10k.com webpage, nor any other 2018 results links.
Also: Is there any race video to be found anywhere?
