So the distance is the factor? A marathon is therefore 400 times more of a sport than the 100m?

They run to the finish line and don’t lay down for 98% of the distance covered.

I'm not sure about Calgary, but the other two were built right before the olympics, so they didn't get a bunch of practice on the course ahead of time.
