The men's race should be stupendous. It features 2 of 3 fastest Americans indoors in history, plus the reigning Worlds bronze medallist and an Olympic medallist. Only 2 of those 4 men will make the team.

We break it down for you here:
First place Jesse Garn
Second place Mitchell Black
You heard it here first
1) Berian
2) Berian.
He races with GUTS
I really don't think it'll be all that amazing...
Brazier (best fitness) and Sowinski (indoor master) should lock it up.
I like Windle for #2. Showed he could make a team last year.
He does like to leave it late, so I expect final straight to be . . . eventful.
Brazier-Sowinski but Sowinski without the standard so Murphy makes it in 3rd.
Brazier 1st, Windle 2nd.
And if Sowinski does manage to take second, which he definitely is capable of, I say he gets the standard doing it.

This is my vote.
1. Brazier
2. Sowinski
3.windle who comes from second to last and would have been in second if the race was another 5 meters
Murphy crosses in 1:52 holding his hamstring and limos off the track.
Boris Berian races with GUTS! Hear that Rojo! GUTS!

Please tell me why the USATF holds the indoor nationals at Altitude every year, it makes no sense. Thanks.

Murphy's going to read this and then go out and win just on pure hate alone.

Haye alone will only get Murphy to second...
1. Brazier
2. Murphy
3. Sowinski
4. The rest.
Brazier for the win.
Windle in second.

Agree. Especially with Murphy's training being geared for the outdoor season. He's going to flatten Brazier and Berian this summer and take down the AR. Brazier will run low 1:43s in July and we'll hear everyone tell us he's going to break 1:40 while Murphy will hit 1:42 low or better and we'll see the same posters tell us he's washed up.

A lot of people are aware that Murphy and crew are pointing for summer as noted above lol. I'll take it farther and say that that no matter how fast Brazier covers two laps outdoors, he's never going to be as fast as Murphy and he will never medal at the Olympics, and likely not at the WCs either. Brazier will have more excuses than he had at the 2016 Oly trials, which of course are overlooked by sniffling c u c k types. lol
The consequence of Sam Ellison's big PB last week is that it pushes Murphy into Windle's prelim. Not much of a reward for Windle's number two overall seed, given that only the heat winner gets the auto advance.

This is unfortunately a potentially very accurate pick.
Typical Murphy, if he can’t win there is always an excuse. His hamstring is his go to fake injury.

Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
