Ok. EVERYBODY STOP. Explain to us exactly who the430miler is, and why this guy wants him. -
How did I know about this? I was a huge the430miler fan.

I am literally trying to find a story on this from any reputable source. All I am getting is tabloids. (Daily Mail, Washington Examiner, Breitbart)
Is a major news source going to pick the story up, assuming it's real without the typical tabloid spin? -

He was basically the original LetsRun troll. The likes of which haven't been seen since. Here's some remarks from the thread that appeared after the assault.

A few questions.
1) You are saying that Barrett Dahl is the 430miler? Was this common knowledge? Feel free to email me at [email protected]
2) Why is this just coming out now?
If it is the 430miler hope you start feeling better.
Barrett Dahl is the430miler. I thought you of all people knew that? Or maybe you weren't sure, because some people thought the430miler was a troll who decided to assume the identity of Barrett? Back in like 2005-2007, I used to exchange emails with him and occasionally chat on Messenger. He was always cordial and fun to talk to.
No idea why this is coming out now since the incident happened last year. Maybe the OP can answer that.
the430miler is an enigma, the likes of which we've never seen before. He was part troll, part real person. Sometimes the lines were blurry. The autism adds an interesting twist to it. He clearly knew what he was doing, 90% of his posts were for his jollies, yet there was always a real element to them.
I guess there's many forms of autism. None of the autistic people I've ever encountered could have pulled off what he did.

I'm glad Barrett landed some punches on that sleezeball. Did he ever get restitution?

Sadly it probably has something to do with partisan nature of news these days.
DailyMail may be tabloidy but I don't think of it as having a political bias like the others you think above. It broke the story which was a year old. Then the conservative outlets republished it. Liberal outlets are going to be less likely to publish it. Something like AP may figure it's old news and not want to go out of way to credit Daily Mail. A bit sad look at the state of journalism these days. -
hard to believe someone autistic would be a letsrun troll.

Someone saved some 430miler blasts from the past.

Real news coverage isn't partisan. An overwhelming majority of journalists do all they can to approach and report stories as neutrally as possible. Sites like Breitbart and Huffington Post, whose "reporters" have obvious political biases, make the general public think all journalists have some sort of agenda. In fact, that's not the case at all. (Most are just worried about getting the story right.) The talking heads on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC aren't journalists, either, aside from the reporters they have out in the field. The sooner people learn to differentiate between real news reporters and talking heads/bloggers, the sooner the press can get back to doing its job without being threatened and attacked.

If you google Barret Dahl, you'll find articles by the washingtontimes, dailymail, washingtonexaminer, politico and dailycaller. That seems like more than enough coverage to me. I doubt any more of a reputable source would cover it. As much as I enjoyed his posts, it's not hard to imagine Mendoza's version of the events as being true, which is Barret Dahl trolled Mendoza IRL, the two had a minor scuffle , likely started by Dahl, and Dahl faked his injuries in an attempt to get a settlement out of Mendoza. Obviously Mendoza isn't a super trustworthy person either but its hard to believe Dahl's version.

I didn't know about this either. The430miler is the GOAT.

I'd also add that the majority of people rarely read the news in print or online (WSJ, FT, NYT, or even Post). They only read the left or right leaning opinion pieces that show up in their facebook feeds (assuming they even read past the headline) or are hand fed spin pieces from their favorite television show. Afterwards they decry all news as fake/partisan/biased, despite not reading a single news article that day/month/year.

Better question. Why is Letstun posting an article that contains facts that are at least a year old?
Is this some attempt at Gotcha because Trump thinks wife beaters are ok? Does Rojo and Wejo think woman abusers are ok? Do they beat their partners? -

Because the DailyMail broke the story yesterday. The arrest may have been a year ago but it didn't make news until yesterday. The430miler emailed me today alerting me to this. He was a prolific LetsRun poster that many of you were interested in.
I'm not going to even justify answering your other questions. -
I ended up settling out of court with the Gaylord hotel for lack of security, due to the fact Mendoza lawyer had the hotel destroy the video evidence.
I know nothing of mendozas sexual festishes, but Mendoza is the real racist. Prior to spitting on me before following me out the ballroom, He repeatedly harped on asking me where I'm from that I don't understand redskins is universally offensive and telling me I'm a weetard. He never saw the back of my shirt. He fabricated injun pimp to cover up why he attacked me, which was the Indian on the front. He has become accustomed to bullying ppl and using his government position to get away with it. None of his children were present that night, as he told the news he was doing this to protect his children from racism. He told multiple news outlets that he followed me out the ballroom because he thought I was a COCKASIAN trying to offend him. He hurried and got a lawyer the next day, while I was in the hospital having SURGERIES.
If you force your will on others to get rid of the Indians and redskins, you will pay. Physically and financially. I think it's evil and I think it's wrong.
Somebody had to pay for this. I missed almost 2 years of training and races due to this. Races and glory and endorphins that i can never get back. My life is now somewhat back on track, only now I have acquired post traumatic stress disorder. I am back to running daily (off on Wednesdays as that's always been my physiological philosophy) but I must always run with a brace on my arm due to shattering it on the sharp escalator.
As the inspector general report said, Mendoza is done as a government official and needs to go back to Nebraska or wherever the hell he came from. He was a big part of the so called swamp in dc.
During my sabbatical from Iegal proceedings, i keep up with a lot of running news. I now believe eliud kipchoge may surpass tergat as the greatest if all time, as he has conquered all distances and surfaces. I'm not saying it's probable, in saying it's possible. With dog, all things are possible.
Thank you for your prayers and, as always....

Not "explain to us." It's "explain to YOU." Anyone who's a real LRC regular knows exactly who the430miler is. You're a newbie who thinks you matter around here. That's the difference. -
The didn’t “break” anything. Do you even know what “breaking news” means? Do you?
You whine about the meadia not reporting the story because of some bias. But fail to point out he was arrrested in 2016, pleade guilty in jan 2017.
Not new or break or anything.
You are so blinded by Obama hate and gotcha you ignore simple facts. Do yourself a favor invest in a lexisnexis subscription so you can look up OLD news before you lambast the media
My question were dumb but it should show you how dumb posting this is. -

Not only are you wrong, but you are absolutely wrong.
Major media outlets are owned by corporations, and those corporations always have a boss or owner at the very top, sitting in a leather chair, who is either a liberal or a conservative. He controls all news down the ladder and skews it his direction.
Not only are you wrong, but you are also incorrect.
