She led at the bell but then got destroyed on the backstretch and faded in the last 100.

Agreed. She has had an amazing season but just needs a break from racing. I think the internet puts a lot more pressure on high school elites than we ever had to deal with 25 years ago. We used to have to read the newspaper to occasionally catch a race result of a fellow competitor. Today, adults criticize young runners on message boards every time they have a bad day. She will be back and as strong as ever.

No Kidding. But when Claudia Lane didn't do so well in Scotland, and has some health issues it the FL Nationals, everyone just bashed her and said she is "obviously" 2nd to Tuohy. Give Claudia a break then.

No Sh.......t! But I bet you were the first among many to bash Claudia Lane when she didn't do so well at the end of the season. What goes around comes around. Other than that, Tuohy is still an superb runner with the 15:37 5k indoor time among many wonderful times. And so is Claudia.

Unfortunately lots of NY schools in the area run these young girls into the ground. It’s a shame to see

The coach, the parents, and the runner are the ones who put the pressure. Stop blaming the internet for everything.

Its the Millrose Games guys. A lot of things happen there. Lots of unexpected winners and unexpected prs.

Lots of kids are getting sick right now. Chances are she’s fighting something off or is sick.

Remember... she is only 15 years old. She shouldn't be destroying the competition at every race distance. Better for her to make mistakes/have off races now while she is young compared to when she is older and more pressure is on the line.

She is trained in a retarded way. At her age she should work on speed not on 3 or 5k. The lack of speed does Not bode well for her future. Might have to go to marathon right away like hasay
