I've had to take a year off due to injury and I have no clue how to start back up. Prior to my stress fracture (low back) I was running about 50 miles a week. What do you all recommend: starting up at 15 - 20 minutes a day and then gradually increasing each run? I've only been allowed to cross train for the last 2 weeks (I'm totally healed now I just want to take it slow to avoid any other problems). HELP!! P.S. I do the 1500m and I'm female if that makes a difference. I'm gearing up for Cross Country in the fall.
