Don’t Do Me Like That or Here Comes My Girl
Funny how this thread doesn't turn into "Did he have HIV/was he on drugs/who cares" like Prince last year.

Don’t come around here no more.
(And to the guy commenting on Prince, Little red corvette)
gotta go with "crawling back to you" from wallflowers. Reminds me of a certain time and place anytime I hear it.

This is my favorite song ALL TIME, regardless of artist. So many good ones though.... Built to last, letting you go, keeping me alive, yer so bad.... The list goes on...
Ahhh, great college memories. Girlfriend at the time got me "Southern Accents" LP for a birthday gift. We thought "Don't come around here, don't darken my door" was the perfect, coldest break up phrase, and we would never do that.......well.......(long story short I did an Irish goodbye).
RIP Tom
I went to this concert in 1983. My first time listening to Tom Petty.
Free Falling my favorite from him.

The article says he had a fractured hip that a doctor told him had become a full break on the day he died. Out of the drugs that were in his system, all were painkillers two - an antidepressant and the other being xanax. He was on a large amount of painkillers, way more than is needed for a fractured, or even broken hip (fentanyl is overkill for anything except end-stage cancer).
The point you made is the right one. Still, I feel it's right to say that at least he was clearly in some real pain. He may have overdone it, but it wasn't 100% for recreational reasons.

Xanax is a heavily abused recreational drug. Just sayin'....
As if his family was really going to say his drug cocktail contained coke.
'Accidental drug overdose' ... no such thing.
Moonlight on the interstate
She was across the Georgia line
Looked out the window feeling great
Yeah, it had to come in time
And she said I'm never going back
She said at last I'm free
I wish ma could see me now, she'd be so proud of me
She went down swingin'
Like Glenn Miller
Yeah, she went down swingin'
Like Tommy Dorsey
Yeah, she went down swingin'
Like Sammy Davis
She went down swingin'
Like Sonny Liston
Addiction sucks!

It wasn't a heart attack at all. Cardiac arrest, the initial report, does not mean heart attack, which signifies damage to the heart as the result of coronary thrombosis (artery blockage).
Being found in cardiac arrest just means you were found with your heart not beating, for whatever reason. And now we know.

How much time has to go by until we stop saying RIP? Tom Petty's 3 years? 5? 10?
