Here is the situation: One of my close friends has been injured for 5 months exactly with achilles tendonitis. She has done everything rehab wise since then, cortisone shot, complete rest, strengthing work, eccentric exercises. I had achilles really bad last year and every resource has been used so far, she's even tried a to run 5 minutes and gradually use the tendon but nothing works.
We haven't tried using you intellegent folks yet, you guys and girls have helped me before and I try to help others if I can.
Anyway on Friday she is meeting with the doctors and trainers at her university to discuss surgery. The surgery would be to shave off part of haglund's deformity.
I don't know much about this. Also, they said she may have had a stress fracture in her calcaneous 5 months ago and that hasn't healed yet?
Any input will help, even recommending doctors.
Thanks
