Oh rojo, rojo, where art thou rojo?
Oh rojo, rojo, where art thou rojo?
I'm like a crack fiend who needs these sneakers.
Let me know if anyone has seen these for sale lately.
Need 11.5
Anybody else have issues with the fit of these? I feel like my foot (a little bit of the heel and arch area) are just falling off the inside of the shoe. I've tried my normal size and a half size up, but same thing on both. Not usually a nike guy (brooks hobby jogger here) - but i really wanted to like these but it just doesn't seem to work for my foot
Yo I feel the same thing, can feel the insole on my arch...haven't run yet...just walked around
They're not Rockports for a leisurely walk. Run in them and they'll feel fine.

If you are not a neutral runner and have sligthy excessive pronation, these shoes are not made for you as they have no medial support and the softness especially in the heel gives way easily under pressure. Sizing won't change this issue.

I thought I was a neutral runner - usually wear (slightly bulkier) neutral trainers like brooks ghosts which fit and feel perfect. I’ve been noticing the weirdness just wearing them around the house, haven’t actually run in them yet.
Do you feel a bump around the arch area? I bought a pair earlier this year that had a huge bump in the arch area. I was able to return them and buy another pair before they were all sold out. The second pair was a lot better. Maybe some production issues?
I snagged a pair of Vaporfly 4% last week and ran a track workout in them over the weekend. First off, these flats are totally different than any others I've worn in over 35 years of racing. I have a narrow foot and the Vaporfly is pretty roomy. I had to cinch the laces pretty tight and even then the heel wasn't snug. My foot felt like it was slipping around a bit while running. I wore a size 10.5, which is what I usually wear.., except in the adidas Boston Boost where I wear a 11.
During the workout, it felt like my heel was being pushed up and propelled forward. The cushioning was significant and running at fast paces seemed easier. My concerns are twofold:
1. The black outsole doesn't extend to the edge of the shoe. I land on the outside edge of my heel and after just one workout there is noticeable wear on the white "foam" part of the outsole. It seems the harder black rubber should have extended to the edge of the shoe, and it doesn't. Because of this, I think the sole will wear very quickly.
2. I changed into my regular flats for a cooldown, and it was very awkward trying to run in "normal" shoes again. After wearing the Vaporfly, it felt like I was running in a zero drop type shoe when I switched back to my Boston Boosts for the cooldown. My heels felt like they were dropping to the ground, furthering my belief that the Vaporfly must be propelling my heels up while running. I don't know if switching back and forth between the Vaporfly and regular shoes will cause injury... it's a real strange sensation going back to a regular shoe.
I'm eager to try the Vaporfly in a race, but that won't be until February, as I'll be racing indoor track for the next month or so... ask any questions about my experience and I'll answer.
Don't worry about the foam wearing through, the shoes are only good for 50 miles. When I say "good", the Zoom X foam is only at it's best for 50 miles. After that, they lose significant bounce and they just don't feel the same. It was very noticeable after I hit 50-60 miles in them. The first two races in them though, wowzer! Don't do workouts in them, just keep them for important races (unless you have tons of excess cash of course!)
back on nike.com with more sizes right now....probably won't last long...
Fleet feet also has restock of the crimson red. Right now the sf store has a bunch of sizing available. They always fly under the radar when they re stock
I made a chart that shows the availability of the shoes in various sizes on 12/12--they didn't last long.
Is there some way to post an image of the chart?
I think these shoes cater more to those who strike on the front of their feet. As runners get faster, the footstrike typically shifts more to the front, so I can see why Nike would neglect the heel of the Vaporfly.
Bumping this thread. Does anyone know when they are going to plan on having more Vaporfly's in stock anywhere again? I'm looking to buy a pair but can't find them online anywhere

USA Last week
UK and EU yesterday dude!
Wait so I missed it? Damn, I thought yesterday they were being released in the US but when I checked online there was nothing.
Bumping this thread to say that I have had good luck calling brick and mortar stores in large metro areas. Many of them will ship to you.
That being said, please advise if you see a new batch online!
4% is much better than ZF. I have both. Peg Turbo is better than ZF. I got 20+ seconds per mile in my last half marathon in 4%. Great shoe.
