I'm running a half in October but I haven't trained since mid-June due to multiple injuries. First it was the ankles, then hip flexor, and now my hip flexor again.I've went on occasional runs and did 2 10ks but that's about it. The longest run I've done is 8 miles which I did 1 month ago. Prior to getting this injury I ran 6-8 miles every day no speed workouts or anything just running for fun. To make up for not running, I go to the gym and lift and work on my legs almost everyday. I don't think my injury is gonna heal in time for me to do any serious training in the form of running and the money is non refundable. Is it a good idea for me to still run it?
