There were no "dramatic improvements". Jamaica's always had great sprinters and I think Merlene Ottey was as dominant as VCB, SAFP & ET.
Did you read what TrackCoach wrote:
"Athletes improve and have breakout seasons and sometimes unknown athletes come on the scene running fast times. However, In 2008 a mathematician stated that the incredible and sudden success of one nation, like Jamaica had at the 2008 Olympics is a statistical anomaly to the enth degree. It was like hitting the lottery twice in one week. Virtual unknown sprinter SAFP wins the 100m running nearly a half second faster than she did the year before; Meleane Walker runs the 400h nearly as fast as her 400m PR; previously a 200/400m sprinter Usain Bolt shatters the 100m WR easing up at the finish line; Bridgette Foster Hilton had retired the previous year, wins the 100h, Carter, Frater, Stewart, Facey, Ennis-Hill...it was as if the stars aligned all at once for an entire nation. VCB had been Jamaica's best sprinter by far for several years. In 2007 VCB ran 10.89 and no other female had run sub-11. Veronica who lives and trains in the U.S., went home for the '08 JA Olympic trails and didn't even make the team in the 100m. A few years latter, it was Blake, Mullins, Weir and Kemar Bailey-Cole and Kaliese Spencer running incredible times. What was going during this time? No drug testing -to- building towards drug testing -to- attempts at drug testing -to- some drug testing (albeit questionable) -to- actual drug testing in 2017 courtesy of WADA etc etc".
How many of them have been busted?
How many of them have been busted by their own anti-doping agency?
In the next 20-30 years there will be no NEW world records on any World championship or Olympic games BECAUSE athletes are AFRAID of testing. DL and shit like that is other story.
AFRAID of testing and frozen samples are the ONLY reason for London under-performing of all GREAT "dopers" including your own country.
Once OOC testing will be implemented world wide the once "SUPERHUMANS" will be just great runners and nothing MORE than that.
Every nation will have a chance of winning what today is just not possible with all dopers around.
There will be dopers in the future as well but on microdosing which still helps but at least there is a slight chance that clean athletes can win some medals - just as started happening in London.
All of this recent injuries etc. are happened because without juice if you continue to training with the same intensity your body will break down and injuries will start to happen.
With juice you can training as much as you want - note here a big difference between what you want and what your body can WITHSTAND.
Jamaicans as well as Kenyans and Ethiopians are great runners and they will be in the future as well, but not nearly so unbeatable as in the last 20 - 30 years or less in the case of Jamaicans.
But in the meantime we will see raising of SAR, Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, Burundi etc so the battle for clean sport need to be implemented worldwide and at present time IT IS NOT.
