So a few years ago Genzebe Dibaba ran 3min50.07 for the 1500m distance, smashing the world record and finally erasing that filthy rotten cheating scumbag Qu Yunxia from the record books.
Oh how the athletics world rejoiced - including many idiots on this messageboard who I ended up in countless debates with over how absolutely f$#king implausible that this women had just wiped a supposedly dirty as hell record from the books in the purest fashion possible.
Not only that but correct me if I am wrong - didn't we also have a spectacular poll done by the crack Letsrun team where they did a survey of top American female distance runners asking them to theoretically "erase" dirty times off the all-time list and in a display of underpant-soiling comedy all but 3 of the top 20 times were gone - of of the three was the "world record" of Dibaba that ended up being 6 seconds faster than anyone else EVER.
So just a quick check in here - where are we with this one now only 2 years on? You know after her coach was hauled out of Spanish hotel room having been caught with a breaking bad'esque amount of performance enhancing drugs in his refrigerator and after a dramatic but blatantly obvious decimation of her actual physique and on-track performances that funnily enough began just as Mr Aden was dropping his panties in a Spanish jail cell.
Of course it culminates last night in the semi finals of the world championships where she looked comically pathetic running some 15 SECONDS off her PR, sneaking into the final as a non-auto qualifier because heat 2 didn't seem to understand the importance of a race faster than the one they had just witnessed.
So are we still contending that Ms Dibaba is clean, bastion of beauty and athletic performance? - you know, it's completely implausible that a Chinese women who never failed a drug test could run 3min50 but not an Ethiopian woman because well, dark skinned east Africans are great runners right?
Or have we finally all come to the reality that she is just as pathetic a drug cheat as they all are - no failed test or not. To think that 2 years on we even need to have this conversation is even funnier than her crappy performance last night on the track.
