The boys really made Mo earn the gold at 10000m. Was it enough to possibly cost Mo the gold at 5000m?

Didn't you notice that they moved the 10K to Friday from Sunday to give Mo more days to recover?

Everyone else benefits too. At least if they were man enough to double.
If one of the 5k only guys complain about this they are just being a little biatch.

If you watch the last 100 again, he was not even all out. He never even took on that characteristic grimace we normally see in the last stretch. His jaw was still bouncing up and down like he had more in the tank. Last lap was 55.6; I'm betting he could have gone 53.x if it had been necessary.

Mo ran a13:36 and then 13:13 to finish. He did have to work harder than normal. He is 34 years old, albeit not seemingly so due to PEDs, and he may be more vulnerable in the 5000m. Or perhaps not...

Still think Edris can take him at 5000 off a fast pace if he's still in the shape he was a month ago or better
They made him run faster than usual, but he still won with ease. He was prepared to run 26:20 is possible. NBD. Onto the next race.
26:20?! Stay off the drugs.

LOL. Would a guy who was ready for 26:20 while on 26:49 pace try to slow things down twice, like Farah did?
cbenson4 wrote:

His last 600 was 2:28.82, so the previous 200 would have been 33.32.
I think he ran as fast as he could, or else very close to it.
Why do you assume he is projecting. I think he is just joking anyway. Projectionism is a myth and one of the most flawed psychological theories in history.

Way TOO easy. Never mind the next race, it's time for everyone to say what everyone knows everyone is thinking.

Nope. Educate yourself.
Farah looked concerned in the second half of the race, but in the end had what it takes. His ability to accelerate the last 100m made the difference.
A quote from BBC's interview: "At one point in the middle of the race I wasn't thinking I was going to lose, but I thought 'this is tough, this is tough'."
The M10000 was moved to Day 1 to give the British people a fantastic opening night. With 64000+ spectators in the stands, the IAAF decided to have the M100 First Round (Bolt) and the M10000 (Mo) to make it more entertaining. Best decision the IAAF has ever made!
But can you run relaxed while posting.
