True or false, this is the kind of thing that stirs up interest. We need guys to not like each other. If this were true, and if Jager responded with some tough talk, it would instantly harden the dicks of everyone on this board. This would be the most anticipated race of the world championships.

But, Jager is a nice guy so my guess is that he wouldn't rock the boat, which is a shame. Even if it was play-acting, having rivalries would make track a lot more interesting. This is where dominant runners actually hurt the sport. The focus is always on them and you can't build a compelling narrative when it's 1 superstar racing against a bunch of straw men (or women)
