WTF an injury that is safe for rounds of the 200 but not 100?? More like an injury to the IAAF if Bolt gets beat.

Not seeing this anywhere else
His medical team, which is paid by his sponsor, diagnosed the injury.
If a loss to Bolt is inevitable why race him?

Or a loss BY Bolt is inevitable, so Bolt paid him to not do the 100...
Bolt is still very fast and experienced. Andre hasn't won an Olympic or World gold yet. So far this year Andre hasn't shown he can beat Bolt. Hoping he can beat Bolt isn't a winning strategy.Bolt will peak for the 100m final and the smart money will be on him to win.

In the OP's mind... scary place really.
3 days between 100m rounds and 200m rounds.
If he's ready/fit for the 200m/4x100 relays,
it will be clear that Puma paid him because they're afraid of Bolt losing his final individual race. It 's too much money on the table.
okay lets revisit your comment over the course of the next days and see how "scary" it is.
Sal.

It's true. He's out of 100m but still 'trying to be ready' for the 200m.
If all what we are assuming regarding the big picture turns out to be true then RIP track.

Not ruling out other "possibilities," but doing only the 200 would give him several more days to recover.
How come you have this info and nobody else does?
IF this turns out to be true, this sport is totally fraudulent and basically on par with professional wrestling. Until someone provides some proof though, I'm calling BS on this.
If it was true, Bolt would not feel compelled to psych out De Grasse by making him feel guilty. De Grasse never disrespected Bolt.
However, Bolt's statement today will make De Grasse think twice about beating Bolt in his farewell race. Bolt knows that.

Makhdoodoo, Makhdaddy or whatever his name, did the same in London in 2012 in the 800m/1500m double. And we know how the story ended.

That one, as I understand it, was because the Algerian federation put him in the 800 event though he had intended to only run the 1500.
You know the OP just made this up right?
Degrasse is read to go for both 1 & 2
