hey everyone,
looking for some advice, i'm a keen cyclist and dont really have any challenges left with cycling so i'm getting in to running hoping to run a marathon.
I went out to test my fitness and ran 5km in 19:52(ouch) and im just wondering how to get started. im following a beginners marathon plaN (Hal higdon) but it says run 3 miles which is only like 22 minutes. I use heart rate and thats running at low zone 2 (135bpm).
im fit but should i just stick to this small amount of running to get my joints tendons etc used to it? feel like i could go much longer!
any tips appreciated.
