i wonder if that means australian jared tallent will win his second olympic gold medal?that will be hilarious,and a bit sad..yet he swore the slovakian was clean.theyre friends,and they have even trained together.matej toth has trained in australia.after the race tallent said "if anyone in that field was gonna beat me it would be matej.hes young,very hard working,super talented,and clean".

Yes, and sad that Tallent is again denied the excitement of crossing the line first, podium, anthem, homecoming, acknowledgement, endorsements... etc. as Olympic champion.

This puts a slightly different twist on the Evan Jager situation. People have been claiming that the IAAF does not notify athletes if there are ABP irregularities. As the Toth situation illustrates, that does not appear to be the case. So if Jager had been under suspicion, he would have been notified and given a chance to explain. Somebody is lying.

They could both be telling the truth. There are multiple stages to an ABP investigation.

I realize that, but if the notation in Jager's record really was "Probably Doping", it would seem to indicate a fairly advanced stage of suspicion. To carry that kind of a damning notation next to an athlete's name without giving the athlete a chance to explain seems extremely unfair.

It was a "likely doping" notation, which is a pretty early stage in the process.

Also, what was released by Fancy Bears was a snapshot in time.

Remember he stopped to pee at WC in '15. Very shady, not at all surprised.

Toth could be the perfect example of "sacrificial lamb"'. Jager not.

Walking events are the dirties, cheatingest, most boring in T/F. Get rid of them...now!

Toth is pretty far down the suspicious scale to be notified. Jager is probably in one of the early stages (flagged by one expert, not by a panel of three), so no notification

Tóth claimed that dealing with the problem means he is too physically and mentally exhausted to defend the World Championship title he won at Beijing in 2015.

Of course they get a heads-up - it's walking. They get two warnings for cheating even during the race.

Race walking needs to be scrapped.
