Having seen what he has been doing in training with Filip, I think 3:37 is quite possible.

Yes, Filip was in the 800m, and Henrik has a bit of medical issue.
Looked like he split 3:40.5 at 1500 in his last mile race Might be running 3:35 at age 17 next year.

Burnt out with 18?
PB of 3:34 at best?

Retire at 18 with a best of 3:34? I don't know about you, but I would be completely fine with that.
BTW, Who is the Kenyan kid running consistently 3'40s in Nairobi altitude?
Why would you be fine with that? Just a footnote in the junior record books. I guarantee you that Ingebritsen would not be fine with it.
The kid still has two years to physically grow and get stronger. Does seem like 3:55 mile equivalent is his limit now. He's gotta focus on that A standard next. Will need to chop 7 seconds at least from his PR to have any medal chance by Tokyo. Tall order...as he has stated he wants gold at Tokyo.
I think his biggest advantage for his future is that he has two world class miler brothers to mentor him. Jakob doesn't need to make same tactical mistakes that Henrik and Filip have done.

25-year-old doper.
I also had this thoughts when he was 14-15 but when I saw how he trains I understand he is "light taken" and I really think there is much more to come.
His father who coach him seems to have 100% control.

Yeah but he's four or five years older than what is claimed, like most Kenyans.

3:34 for 1500? Uh, yeah, totally fine with it.
3:38 = 3:57
He's slipping backwards lol
His results are definetely coming from enormous training load trying to keep up / compete with his elder brothers. Which is not a good thing to do at this age. I know this, 'cause I have a younger brother, who tried to do the same thing. He did run my times at a younger age, than I did, but never bettered those times. Injuries started happening. At the end of the day the only difference was, that I ran my PR at 21, and he did at 18.
Jakob does not have a smooth looking stride and runs purely on strength and stamina. Mark my words, this not gonna last long and 3:31 is definetely not achievable for him. 3:31 is a time, when you really start being somebody internationally respectable, imho, which I suppose is his goal.

Yeah what's up with Henrik? I saw something on instagram of him getting surgery or something in what looked like his foot or something.

Nope. 3:39 = 3:56. Plus this races was run on a windy day. And for the record, 3:38 equates to 3:55, no idea where your numbers came from.
It's official - Gjert Ingebrigtsen wasn't at Jakob's wedding
