I'll bet you can break 2:55 with a workout like that
2:36 (aka 2.55) in the thon
I can guarantee you would not have gotten there without that workout. However I would still recommend doing the workout 4 more times

You are ready... but make sure to read my tip thread on the LRC forums...
this joke is so bad
If I am to run this workout four more times, should I do this on consecutive days? or wait a day or two?

The 5x18 is done with a 3 min jog recovery. Then you do another. Come on bro...suck it up buttercup or you can kiss that 2.55 thon goodbye
1:45 for the last 18 suggests that 2:55 for the thon might be way too conservative. I think you could easily close the last 8 miles faster than 1:10, especially if you hadn't run 90 miles before hand. I think you should be aiming for sub 2:30 for the thon
This thread will be deleted in 2:55 minutes...
Could you explain what is a 5 + 18 workout?
I'm clueless.

its a fairly common thon workout. You run an interval session of 18 miles, 5 times. Usually you want to run this session 5 times in preparation for your thon. Its best used to train for a 2:55 thon. Used just as effectively to get your thread deleted
No it's not. It's great. Let it be.

Actually, the workout was 90 miles total, meaning only 72 miles beforehand.
Wtf is this 18x5??
I’ve been seeing this crap here often. Who runs intervals of 18 miles or 18k???
Even very slow ultra runners don’t do it.

5x18 miles is a key workout in any marathon cycle, typically repeated 5 times

Seriously? You have never done this workout before your thon? Freaking clueless hobby joggers. 18 mike repeats are the gold standard for success in the thon.

18 mile.
Making LetsRun Great again.
I'd need to see a few 3:44 mile repeats to be sure, but you look nailed on for sub3.
