I'm only 23, but can't remember a single one. Come on now. High school does not matter one damned bit. I can't remember much about high school - I have more important things going on, like grad school and trying to run fast. If you remember high school (athletics, academics, friends, etc.), you are either:
1. Still in high school;
2. Stupid, and never advanced to college;
3. Living in the past (but why would you want to live in high school?).
We had a guy on our team like you. We called him ... well, actually we never called him. We didn't want him along at parties or when we went out to TP someone's house. We didn't want him coming to the movies with us, or to the A&W. Nobody asked him to come to Lake Huron for Memorial Day, or to Florida for Spring Break.
Even though he was eventually a 1:54/4:19 runner, we won our Regional Title without him, our 6th at State without him, set the 3200mR School Record without him and none of us ever trained with him in the summer or the winter, he was always injured when you needed him most, and disinterested when you needed him just a little.
He was always too good to run with us, the popular kids would have frowned on it, so he ran his own workouts mostly and in the off-season he didn't run at all. Most Fridays in Summer and Spring he skipped Friday practice to go up north to his cottage, but he always faked an injury or claimed to have a tutoring session he couldn't miss.
If you don't remember any of your teammates or friends from high school you are likely very self-absorbed and shallow.
I'm betting they remember you, but for the wrong reasons. When the subject of running comes up, I bet they say, "Is ???? still running? And is he still such a prick?"

Can't remember the JV runners except a couple of nasty nicknames.
I like this format:
1. Eddie Fisher, jr - UMich, ended up w/ColSanders
2. Andy Campbell, sr - Harvard, bigshot now
3. Adrian Newby, sr - Purdue, didn't run
4. Martin Hueter, jr - EMU, ran 1 semester, transfered somewhere...?
5. Carl Hueter, sr - UMich, successful architect in Ann Arbor
6. Karl Tsigdinos, so - Harvard, ran some for the Crimson, moved to Ireland, editor of Irish auto magazine
7. scotth, sr - EMU, ran for the HURONS 4 years, co-captain cross jr & sr.
Fall of '69 cross, Huron High, Ann Arbor. State Class A champs.
Not sure about the JV but one guy became a lawyer in AA.
CHRIS HOFFMAN! my college room-mate and teammate! Handstands galore.
My friend, wasn't Chris in all the Cheech & Chong movies?

Nope but I lived in C-ville for about 8 years, from grad school on. One of my best buds from college is Glenn Wayland, a CHS alum. My ex-wife was a classmate of yours, Lisa Shifflett and her brother Rory and I were pretty tight. I also knew Tim Morris, who played football for you, and later for UVA.
Doug Bloor and I pledged the same fraternity in college, but he dropped it because it interfered w/ his training (I didn't run in college).
nope - he was a three stooges and beach boys FANATIC - no weed for him. And a AA his Frosh year - tough competitor. We had a 'Dave' but our Dave WAS here. Cheech and Chong did visit our college but I doubt they would remember :)
easily I can do this.
My freshman year:
David Ramono
Kevin Drews
Anthony derouen
Steve Smith
Kyle Slotta

Calvin Claude
Me - "The Dog"
Jason Hussell - "Hussman"
Kevin Knapp - "Mack Nappy"
Greg S.
Jay Hatfield - "Clipboard"
Chris Adams - "Whoa"
Mike ???
Matt Richardson - "Tipper"
We sucked. Never won anything as a team eventhough we had two people qualify for state my senior year, and I went undefeated until the state meet.

What ever happened to Castleberg, I know he was running at Minnesota for awhile, but then he kind of dropped off the map.

No, at least I don't recall the Dierauf's. I don't know if Doug would remember me, as I only met him through the brief time we pledged together, but tell him Chris Womack says hello nonetheless. I remember him mainly because he was (and I'm sure is) such a good guy. If you frequent Ragged Mountain tell Mark L hello as well.
totally agree with you darkness... I just received my invite to my 20th .
